This degree specialization provides a foundation of courses and a general approach to psychology. A Master of Science in psychology does not stress counseling or the practitioner side of psychology and usually does not lead to licensure.

A Master of Science in Psychology will prepare an individual to apply psychological theory and practices to help managers and supervisors meet their professional potential. People who specialize in this are usually psychologists in the medical or clinical fields wishing to develop a teaching practice, or for individuals responsible for personal and professional leadership development. It can also be used in pastoral counseling or even sports psychology. Often, executives in charge of Human Relations will seek this Masters to be better equipped to coach and work hand in hand with other members of their organization.
