The program is established for teachers who are looking to move into a different aspect of education. It is essential that applicants have extensive experience in teaching as they will have to build off of this foundation for their degree work. Graduating with the MAE/IC will specifically prepare you for a career of writing curriculums for your field. While there is diversity in what fields you will write your curriculum, the rest of the degree proves to be restrictive. Graduates either pursue a career of writing curriculum, or realize that it is not their passion and use what skills they have gained to be more effective and efficient in the classroom.
