An Associate of Arts (AA) in Human Services Management will provide the student with the background to enter the field of human and social services.

During the course of the program, students should expect to complete their general study requirements as well as have an opportunity to gain a background in subjects pertinent to human services. Aside from the general study courses, students will be introduced to 100 and 200 level courses like sociology, ethnic studies, counseling, child welfare, and human development.
With an AA in Human Services Management students will gain the credentials to earn them an entry-level position with some human and social service agencies. Although the student may be able to initially break into the field with an associate degree, a bachelor degree or higher may be necessary to progress to a more desirable position.

With their AA in Human Services Management, students should be able to find some type of entry-level position in the field. Just as important, the AA will provide the student with the background knowledge that will be significantly important for the student who chooses to pursue their bachelor degree in a similar field. Once finished with schooling, students will have the qualifications to enter such fields as family and youth services, counseling, and law and probation enforcement.
