You will learn the essentials of business tailored to apply to those starting or managing small businesses. Topics such as initial funding, product procurement and distribution, and the building of a clientele are addressed. Your coursework will include case studies and simulations to help you practice and hone your creative and problem-solving skills. Through these your ability to manage elements of business ranging from inventory to personnel will be developed. Interpersonal and communications skill will also be given attention, as these will be critical in building and maintaining a client base. Essential business disciplines such as accounting and finance, marketing, and business law will also be covered.
