A Bachelor's in Human Services/Management prepares you for management/administrative positions in a wide range of public service organizations.

You will develop strong visionary and leadership skills, along with ability to work with others as a team to set goals and strategize the most effective and efficient means to accomplishing those goals. Your studies will also include human services issues such as human development and psychology, criminology and correction, health services and preventative measures, group behavior, and ethics. Case studies and actual experience in the field are also included in the program to give you a real world feel and hands-on approach. Research skills and communications skills, both written and oral, are vital to careers in this field and consequently will receive a significant amount of attention.
By completion of the coursework you will have honed the skills necessary to work at the managerial level in a career of public service. You will possess the knowledge and training to interact with a number of levels of society to provide guidance and assistance to whoever may be in need.

With this degree you will be ready to hold management positions in a number of pubic service institutions, foundations, and government agencies. Job/career opportunities include: Non-profit management, mental/behavioral health counseling, social worker, case management, and program or development director.
Furthering your education specifically in any of these areas or generally in management disciplines at the master's or Ph.D. level will afford you broader levels of opportunity in higher administrative positions.
