The Master of Arts in Education/Curriculum and Instruction—Computer Education degree is very similar to the MAE/CI but with a stronger emphasis on how to educate all ages about computers and technology.

Since it shares many similarities to the MAE/CI program, it also requires that applicants have many years of educational experience and are functional with modern technology. The main goal of the MAE/CICE degree is similar to the MAE/CI in that it prepares teachers with more curriculum training, but the MAE/CICE focuses on instructing students with how to teach through technology. Since computers are becoming more used by people all ages it is crucial that teachers know how to educate their students using computers and this is what this degree attempts to accomplish. The main focus of this program is using computers and showing teachers how to effectively fit computers into education.

Those students who graduate with a Master of Arts in Education/Curriculum and Instruction—Computer Education find themselves in a wide variety of fields. While most of the graduates do continue to work in the field of education, public or private, there are some graduates who take their skills and apply them to the business world. Typically, those who continue to work in education will find themselves and computer development directors for their schools or even districts. Some graduates even use this degree to teach computer classes at local colleges. The graduates who enter the business world will often be in charge of technological training for their corporation.
