A Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial/Organizational Psychology will equip you with an advanced understanding of the psychology of the workforce.

Your studies will focus on the intricacies behind human behavior in the workplace, including factors that motivate, discourage, and help or hinder productivity. The relationship between social influences and human behaviors will also be examined. You will work towards developing strategies for how to design and promote a culture of high performance, efficiency, meaningfulness, and overall positive attitude in the workplace. Analytical, critical, and creative thinking will be involved as you look to problem-solve on a large-scale basis. Your communication, teamwork, and leadership skills will also receive considerable attention, as will your ability to plan and implement change. Added sensitivity to ethics and values will be cultivated as well.
Upon completion of this program you will have developed a comprehensive knowledge base of the various factors affecting employees in the workplace. You will understand how to work with employees and other professional to design and implement strategies for cultivating a work environment that is highly desirable for anyone involved with the organization.
