A Bachelor's in Business/e-business will educate you in two main areas – the basics of business and information technology. The focus of this major is to integrate these two areas to develop your ability to conduct and market business using the latest in technology. Your studies will cover the various types of technology used to store and transmit information in the modern business world. You will learn the details behind computer networks, databases, as well as computer programming and data rendering. The relationship of these to the Internet and questions of security will also be examined. Your studies will also include courses in business communication and management. The emphasis will be on a synthesis of business essentials with mobile technology, helping you to maximize effectiveness and opportunity in the business world.
Upon completion of the coursework you will understand much of the computer science that is involved in the storage and transmission of information. You will be able to work for a business to ensure that their networks, databases, etc. are functioning smoothly, efficiently, and securely.
